The York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) will provide a positive environment for student athletes so they may reach their fullest potential with emphasis on academics, character, and sportsmanship

Because of the pandemic, the YAIAA has mandated that masks must be worn by coaches, officials and competitors at all time during athletic practices and contests this winter. Also, there will be no YAIAA basketball tournaments or swimming championships.

Spring Grove won its first District 3 girls basketball championship, winning the 5A title with a 58-43 win past Gettysburg.
Delone Catholic repeated as District 3 champs, this time in 4A, topping Lancaster Catholic, 48-33.

Congratulations to Max Pflieger and McKenna Porter of Susquehannock for winning their respective District 2 Class 2A Diving Championships on February 24. Three days later, Northeastern teammates Abby O'Leary and Stephen Barlett repeated as District 3 3A diving champs. All four divers are coached by Northeastern's Rusty McCullom. Way to represent the YAIAA.

Dallastown's Riley Thomas won two gold medals (200 IIM; 100 breaststroke) at the District 3 3A swimming championship and broke a district record in the breaststroke that was held since 1994 by former Olympian Jeremy Linn. Daniel Gordon of Spring Grove won the 50 freestyle championship. Central's Camryn Leydig won the girls' 100 backstroke. In 2A, Susquehannock's Jacob Wade won both the 50 and 100 freestyle championships. Gettysburg's Hannah Brainard won the girls 100 freestyle.

A trio of YAIAA wrestlers earned District 3 2A championships as Connor Brown of Littlestown, Levi Haines, Biglerville and Savauri Shelton, Bermudian Springs won district gold at the 138, 145 and 215 eight classes.
​
Levi Haines of Biglerville won the PIAA 2A championship with a fall 2:19 into his final. Way to go Levi!!
​
Spring Grove is in need of two coaches for the upcoming Spring Sports season, a head boys volleyball coach and a head girls softball coach. Interested parties should contact Spring Grove athletic director Greg Wagner - email.
