We are proud of the Delone Catholic girls volleyball team, which finished second in the state in Saturday's PIAA Class AA championship match.
Congratulations to: The West York girls volleyball team that reached the PIAA Class AAA semifinals. 
York Suburban's Bryce Ohl, the 2017 YAIAA and District 3 Class AA boys cross country champion, placed second at the PIAA Class AA championships. Teammate Jarrett Raudensky was 10th and the Trojans team earned a second-place trophy. 
YAIAA girls champion, Maddie McLain of Eastern York also finished second at the PIAA AA championships.
Dallastown's Emily Shuler placed fifth overall at the PIAA Class AAA girls cross country.
Central York boys finished second in the PIAA AAA team golf championships. 
Congrats to Central York golfers for winning the District 3 AAA team championship. Huge shout out to Central's Joe Parrini for winning the District 3 boys individual championship - his third with an 8-und
Susquehannock's Kendel Abrams won the AAA girls District 3 AAA title with an 8-over. Great job YAIAA golfers.
Delone Catholic are the 2017 District 3 AA girls volleyball champs. 
Fairfield won its second straight District 3 Class A girls soccer title.
Way to go to all of our tournament champions: New Oxford in field hockey. Susquehannock in boys soccer and Central York in girls soccer and West York in girls volleyball.

Congrats to our YAIAA girls tennis champs, Ellie Neudecker of Delone Catholic (AA) & South Western's Michaela Sentz (AAA) ..... Note, the doubles has been moved to Wisehaven, 1st & 2nd rounds are Monday.
The YAIAA doubles champions are Ellie Neudecker/Bella Dolce of Delone Catholic (AA) and Kamdyn Balko/Kasi Conjeck from New Oxford.
YAIAA News... Congratulations to Northeastern for winning its sixth straight PIAA 2A boys volleyball title.
 
 
 
 
 
Also, Kennard-Dale placed second to an incredible Villa Maria squad in the PIAA 2A girls lacrosse finals.
Wow, what a weekend at the District 3 track and field championships, where the YAIAA won 18 events and a team championship when the Delone Catholic captured the 2A girls team title.
2A Girls Champs: Bermudian Springs Rachel Spangler (high jump), Kayla Pyles (100 hurdles); Delone Catholic 4x800 relay, 4x100 relay, 4x400 relay, Brooke Lawyer (100 dash), Maddie Claybaugh (400 dash); Eastern York Taylor Currier (long jump, triple jump); Fairfield Cierra Phillips (pole vault); Biglerville Faith Redding (200 dash). 3A Girls Champs: Dallastown Riyanna Owens (100 dash, 200 dash); Red Lion Madisen Kling (discus); 2A Boys Champs: Bermudian Springs Kolt Byers (high jump). Littlestown Derek Herr (110 hurdles); Fairfield Travis Zimmerman (shot put).
The following YAIAA athletes earned medals at the PIAA championships: In 3A girls, Madi Kling of Red Lion won a silver in the discus. Tesia Thomas (West York) fifth/triple jump; Riyana Owens (Dallastown) seventh/100 dash; Emily Eckard (Dover) seventh/discus; Airika McCaskill (Spring Grove) eighth/shot put. In 3A boys, Taemar Willis (Northeastern) sixth/high jump; DJ Hamilton (Northeastern) eighth/triple jump.
In Class 2A girls, Maddie McLain (Eastern York) bronze/3,200; Danielle Malesky (Delone Catholic) sixth/pole vault; Delone Catholic sixth in 4x100 relay; Taylor Currier (Eastern York) seventh/triple jump; Rachel Spaulding (Bermudian Springs) eighth/high jump. In 2A boys, Kolt Byers (Bermudian Springs) fourth/high jump; Derek Herr (Littlestown) seventh/110 hurdes.
 
           Two individuals received Outstanding Service Awards at the April league meeting:
                  Jeff Glatfelter, who served as tournament director for the YAIAA Golf Championship and District 3 qualifying tournaments from 1995-2016.  He also was director and rules official for the District 3 championships from 1999-2009, and was a rules official for the PIAA tourneys in 2010 and 2011. Jeff was the golf coach at Eastern York from 1995-2000 and 2005, and helped develop Junior Golf in the area from 1988-2017, while providing instruction to hundreds of golfers during that time.
                  Michael Staab was recognized for more than 20 years of service to the YAIAA, and area Junior Golf. The 1970 York Catholic grad taught English grammar and composition for 38 years, and was assistant coach for the 1979 Irish girls basketball state champions. He was also a head coach for the boys track team, one of which won the District 3 title in 1987. He was golf coach for more than 20 years, winning league titles in 1987-1988 and 2009.
Congratulations go out to Dallastown junior Holden Koons for winning his third straight District 3 AAA boys tennis championship. Good luck to Holden at the PIAA Championships, May 25-26.
Congrats to Northeastern for winning the YAIAA and sixth straight District 3 2A boys volleyball tournaments.
Congrats to York Catholic boys and Kennard-Dale girls for winning the YAIAA lacrosse championships.
